Stuck for ideas to keep your kids entertained in the school holidays?

Why not get your children active and taking part in indoor and outdoor activities by signing them up to a Welsh Rugby Camp?

Every session is enjoyable and interactive with WRU qualified coaches ensuring participants practice and develop skills such as running, side stepping, kicking, catching, tackling and much more.

Our intention is that every child goes away from each session with a smile on their face and new friends for the future.

We run 2 day camps for boys and girls and a 1 day camp for girls only across different areas of Wales for ages 6-14 years.

Book a camp

Skills development aside, children who sign up to a camp also get the chance to meet one of their heroes as a Welsh international player attends to meet the youngsters.

We aim to enhance and engage a child's physical, psychological and social characteristics whilst still having fun with their peers. Whether it's their first sports camp on their own, or they are already on their way to becoming the next Leigh Halfpenny or Rachel Taylor, we guarantee your little one will come home tired but raring for the next day.

Parents are not required to stay at these camps however we do ask that you are contactable throughout the day, especially if your child is aged 6 yrs.

All children are required to come with a pack lunch and enough snacks and fluids for the day, to keep them energised and hydrated. At all venues there will be a place to refill a water bottle if needed.

Clothing: As we cannot predict the weather we suggest your child comes equipped for all weathers. A small hand towel is often advisable. Depending on the weather and time of year play will either be inside (Trainers or astro boots) or outside (Astro boots or rugby boots), sun cream and maybe a sun hat.

The Welsh Rugby Union is one of the leading rugby organisations in world rugby. With fantastic links to each of our professional regional teams, the WRU has access to all the top players and the very best coaching staff. We will put this expertise and knowledge into delivering high quality, fun development opportunities for young people of all ages and abilities.

All our courses run under the following principles:

  • WRU & UKCC Qualified coaches that all have enhanced CRB checks
  • Each camp will be run in line with Child Protection guidelines and have a nominated child welfare officer
  • Each camp will be challenging and fun for every individual
  • Players will be group based both on ability and age when they attend to ensure that we maximise learning
